What you'll practise
- The Old Oak — The great oak of the greenwood: roots below, a green roof above, a place to rest.
- The Hare — A brown hare of the tales, imagined as a quiet companion you can return to.
- The Chalk Horse — A white horse cut into a chalk hillside, and the whole valley seen from above it.
- The Misty Isle — An island of apple trees across a misty lake, from the old legends.
Sessions
6 sessions · 3 h
-
1. The Old Oak
Step into the greenwood at dawn and rest between the roots of an old oak, older than the roads.
-
2. The Green Man
Follow a path deeper into the wood to a carved face of leaves, the Green Man of old folklore, and sit quietly with it.
-
3. The Hare
Sit still in a dewy meadow until a brown hare comes close, and rest beside your companion as the day brightens.
-
4. The Chalk Horse
Climb a chalk down to the great white horse cut into the hillside long ago, and look out over the whole green valley.
-
5. The Lady of the Lake
Follow a stream to a misty lake, cross in a pale boat to the isle of apple trees from the Arthurian legends, and return.
-
6. The Hearth
Open practice: the oak, the hill and the lake are yours, and the hearth waits at the end of the road. A few cues, long silences, and a clear way back.
About the sound
Each session layers soft tone pairs, one in each ear, over a gentle noise bed, with a voice guiding you. Research on binaural beats is mixed; we publish both sides.
